HOW CAN I SCHEDULE FUTURE RECORDINGS?

Press the “MENU” button on your remote control so the “MAIN MENU” is displayed.

Select “TV GUIDE” to access the programme details for current and future programmes.

Use the navigation buttons to select the future programme/series you would like to watch.

Press “OK”, then “RECORD” and finally “CONFIRM RECORDING” to finish programming the recording.

Set a customised time buffer before and after the programme under “ADD EXTRA TIME”. This way you can avoid missing the beginning or the end of the desired programme due to programme changes.

Your Horizon HD Recorder allows simultaneous recording of up to4 programmes!

HOW CAN I RECORD A PROGRAMME CURRENTLY SHOWING?

OPTION 1

Press the “OK” button during a programme currently showing.

Select “RECORD” and then “CONFIRM RECORDING” to start recording.

OPTION 2

Press the “REC” button during a programme currently showing.

Select “CONFIRM RECORDING” to start recording.

HOW CAN I WATCH RECORDINGS ON MY HORIZON BOX?

In the category “MY LIBRARY” in the “MAIN MENU” you can:

specify and manage recordings,
view recorded and purchased content as well as
content from your home network, such as photos, music and videos.

Open “MY LIBRARY” by pressing “OK” on your remote control. Alternatively, you can press the “MY REC” button on your remote control.

The “RECORDINGS” option shows you a list of your recorded programmes. Press “OK” to start the desired recording.

You will always see the newest and most recently recorded content.

I WANT TO DELETE RECORDINGS FROM MY HORIZON BOX

Open “MY LIBRARY” by pressing “OK” on your remote control. Alternatively, you can press the “MY REC” button on your remote control.

Select “RECORDINGS”. Here you will see a list of your recorded programmes.

Select the recording you wish to delete, press “OK” and then select “DELETE RECORDING”.

To delete all episodes of a series together, click on a recording or reservation and then select “DELETE ALL EPISODES”.

The information displayed in the bottom right-hand corner of your Recordings page indicates the memory space available.

HOW CAN I SCHEDULE RECORDINGS WHEN I AM ON THE ROAD?

Make sure your Horizon Box standby power usage settings are set to “high”.

Open the UPC TV App or the web browser version upctv.ch.

Go to “TV Guide” in the “TV” section.

Select the desired programme and click on the Record button next to the programme details.

Important: Shows that you have scheduled directly on your Horizon Box are not visible in the UPC TV App’s TV Guide. Furthermore, you can only watch, process and delete your planned recordings using the Horizon Box.

The options in the standby power usage settings allow you to adjust the power consumption in standby and the start-up time from standby. You can choose between high, medium and eco.

Please note that in “eco” standby mode, your telephone and Internet connection are deactivated. Digital TV is also deactivated in eco mode – unless recordings are scheduled. When recordings are scheduled, the Horizon HD Recorder automatically switches from eco mode to high or medium standby mode so that the recordings can be made. Telephone and Internet remain deactivated in this case, however.
